Student Thesis Project: Behavior of Bolted and Welded Connections in fully encased composite columns Subjected to Cyclic Loads

This study examines the cyclic behavior of bolted and welded beam-column connections in fully encased composite columns. It compares stiffness degradation, energy dissipation, and failure modes, showing that bolted connections offer stable performance and easier repair, while welded joints are stiffer initially but degrade faster under cyclic loads.
