ENVIRONMENTAL, WATER RESOURCES AND COASTAL ENGINEER'S ALUMNI ASSOCIATION OF MIST (EWCEAAM)
Military Institute of Science and Technology had started in the year of 1999 with the departments of Civil Engineering (CE) and Master’s in Business Administration. Now it has 12 Engineering Departments under 4 Faculties. Environmental, Water Resources and Coastal Engineering Department of MIST was started in 2015. Six batches (from EWCE 1 to EWCE 6) have already passed out from the EWCE Department and forwarding four batches (from EWCE 8 to EWCE 11) are studying currently. The total graduates are two hundred sixty five from EWCE Department MIST, consisting of military officers and civil students from different batches.
After graduation, some military students are deployed on missions, while others return to their respective units across various regions of Bangladesh. Among the civilian graduates of MIST, many are now employed in reputed companies and industries, while several have secured prestigious government positions. Some have also pursued or are currently pursuing their M.Sc. degrees, both in Bangladesh and abroad. Over time, the connection among alumni tends to diminish. However, fostering strong ties between former and current batches is vital for maintaining unity among all engineers from the EWCE Department. The relationship between different passed-out batches and the existing batches is also essential for holding the unity among all the engineers passed out from EWCE dept, MIST. To establish unity among all the students belonging to the EWCE department, MIST with both graduate and undergraduate students this association has been established. The committee for the EWCEAAM-EWCE engineer’s association of MIST is presented in Table 10A-2.
