"PME EXCEL MAESTROS- PROBLEM SOLVING WITH MICROSOFT EXCEL" ARRANGED BY DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM AND MINING ENGINEERING
An online contest "PME Excel Maestros- Problem Solving with Microsoft Excel" will be organized by the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department on 22 September 2020. The aims of the contest are to develop interest among students on the application of microsoft excel in petroleum engineering problem solving and to evaluate their competence level on software application in the real oil and gas field.
STUDENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO
- Develop a formula for petroleum engineering problem
- The present solution in graphical format
- Analyze different types of data
- Write macro for a specific problem
- Process geostatistics, lab test, and field data in excel
- Use various description tools in a judicious manner
- Use public domain software to apply many of the techniques discussed in class
