"PME TOP LOGGER- WELL LOG INTERPRETATION CONTEST" ARRANGED BY DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM AND MINING ENGINEERING
An online contest "PME Top Logger- Well log interpretation contest" will be organized by the Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department on 06 October 2020. The aims of the contest are to develop an interest in petroleum engineering software among students and to evaluate their competence level on software application in the real oil and gas field.
STUDENTS WILL LEARN HOW TO
- Develop the workflow in the reservoir integration process
- Evaluate and quantify uncertainties in various well logs data
- Utilize log data in different phases of reservoir description and integrate them using geostatistics
- Use various description tools in a judicious manner
- Use public domain software to apply many of the techniques discussed in class
